Food is solid. Had the chicken sandwich and it was great - sneaky spicy so beware! Charcuterie was good as well but the real draw here is the live music. Great drink selection as well.
Campbell and Johnston recommended the Carlton to us as a great venue for live music and they were right on the money! The band we saw, Swipe Right, were very talented and kept the crowd engaged! Lots of old blues numbers was just what we love. The service was excellent. The cocktail list was extensive and the bartender's attention to detail was spot on! We would love to go again.
Small place but oh the sound in here is amazing. We came to listen to Tara Breen and her crew from Ireland. They were delightful. The show started at 7 so we got there for 6 which I recommend so u can get a good seat. We are as well and the food was great. The Carlton burger was so yummy; upgrade ur fries to the Carlton frites!! I highly recommend. My sister had the croquettes and they were ok. If I’m ever back in Nova Scotia, I’ll be back at the Carlton!
We went to the Carleton for drinks and a show. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and the drinks were tasty. The venue is an intimate setting with a small dance floor area in front of the stage. We really enjoyed our night out and would recommend the Carleton to others.
Nice place to spend time with a company and listen to the music. You also can dance. This venue can’t suggest you good food but the drinks are good.
Went to see The Stanfields play on May 12 2023 and it was my very first time there. I absolutely love the atmosphere! The staff was so happy and accommodating, and our waiter was the sweetest. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The sound is amazing and it has an extremely intimate feel - even though it is quite large. The food is sooooo great, I mean, what can I say, the menu is small and eclectic, but everything on it looks fabulous! I had a hard time choosing, but finally decided on the crispy chicken sandwich. It was YUM!! I finished the night with the orange creme brulee and a cappuccino. Had a couple of great drinks in between. Lucky for you, I have included some photos for your viewing pleasure! I will be back for sure. Thank you so much to the Carlton for such a great night and introduction to your wonderful establishment!
I've been to the Carleton 3-4 times now and it's always been a great experience.
Super cool spot.. live music was awesome and great sound setup.. drinks were on point and fantastic waitstaff. Cant wait to try the food sometime
